Puff puff is a Nigerian snack made from wheat flour. It can be served as dessert at parties and it can also be eaten between meals.
It can be enjoyed hot or cold.
- Measure 2.5 cups of flour into a bowl
- Measure 2teaspoon of yeast, 3 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon salt into a separate bowl or plate
- Add the sugar, yeast and salt into the flour
- Add 1.5 cups of warm water into the flour
- Mix until you achieve smooth paste, it should not be too thick or running
- Leave for 45min-1hr to rise
- Heat oil with a deep pan on a medium heatand scoop the puff puff paste into the oil
- Scoop the puff puff paste into the oil and fry until it is golden brown
- Serve and enjoy
