Fried Sweet Potato

This crunchy staple can be had as breakfast, lunch, or just a snack. It’s very filling as it is a fibrous food.

It can be eaten alone or with some spicy onion sauce, vegetable sauce or egg sauce.

  1. Peel the potatoes cleanly and cut them into pieces.
  2. Wash the potatoes very clean and soak for 5 minutes in clean salty water.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan until it gets hot.
  4. Drain the potatoes from the water and fry them in the hot oil until they turn golden.
  5. Spoon the fried potatoes out of the hot oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with any sauce of your choice or eat alone.
