- Calathea lutea

Calathea lutea. It is a green leaf commonly used to wrap food in Nigeria. It gives special flavour to the food as well as gives it a traditional look.
It is used to wrap such food as; cooked rice, moi moi, agidi, different types if swallow, ogiri among others.
- Soak the leave in room temperature salt water to kill germs for 5min
- Thoroughly rinse and lay on a flat surface to drain excess water out for 2-4min depending on amount of leaves washed.
- Start folding by taking it from the side as shown in the image
- Fold it over
- Continue folding till all the sides come together, then fold the tail up
- Gently put the bean paste inside
- Fold the top in gently to avoid spilling
- Completely fold it in
- Fold the remaining top over
- Complete look
