Efo riro is a vegetable soup. It is cheap and easy to make. It can be accompanied with rice, Semo, Amala or any swallow of your choice.
- Remove the vegetable from the stalk and cut into smaller pieces
- Wash the vegetable with water and drain
- Place a clean pot on the fire and put the clean vegetable then add a pinch of salt, stir and allow it to steam for like a minute
- Put the pot down from the fire then pour the vegetable in a sieve and set aside
- Wash the meat, put in a pot, add Onions,seasoning cubes, curry, thyme and salt to taste. Then allow to boil
- Blend the pepper and onions then shred the smoke fish into smaller pieces then clean the crayfish and set aside
- Place a clean pot on fire, add palm oil and heat for about 1minute
- Add locust beans and onions, allow to fry for 2minutes
- Add blended pepper and stir together
- Add crayfish, smoked shredded fish, meat and stock water
- Add seasoning cube and check if the taste is okay for you before adding little salt. Allow to fry
- Then add the vegetable into the frying stew and stir together
- Allow to cook for 4minutes and remove from fire
- Serve with rice or any swallow of your choice
