- Baking soda

- Sugar
- 1 Cup
- Vegetable oil
- 1 Cup
- Buttermilk
- 1 Teaspoon
- Vanilla extract
- 1 Teaspoon
- Vinegar
- In mixing bowl, add sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and red food color, mix well to combine. Next add hot coffee. Mix well
- In another bowl sieve in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt. Pour flour mixture to wet ingredients bowl in 3 batches, mixing between each batch.
- In a smaller bowl, add baking soda, then add vinegar into baking soda and stir. Mixture will become foamy. Pour mixture into batter and stir.
- Pour batter into prepared floured, greased and lined cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or till skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Do not overbake because this cake continues to bake as it cools.
- Let cake cool completely in the Pan then use a table knife to scrape pan's sides to loosen cake then transfer to an oven tray. ⭐ Cupcakes for this recipe bakes for 18-20minutes.
