SUPER MOIST RED VELVET CAKE (OIL BASED)

A melt-in-the-mouth oil-based Redvelvet Cake

  1. In mixing bowl, add sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and red food color, mix well to combine. Next add hot coffee. Mix well
  2. In another bowl sieve in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt. Pour flour mixture to wet ingredients bowl in 3 batches, mixing between each batch.
  3. In a smaller bowl, add baking soda, then add vinegar into baking soda and stir. Mixture will become foamy. Pour mixture into batter and stir.
  4. Pour batter into prepared floured, greased and lined cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or till skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  5. Do not overbake because this cake continues to bake as it cools.
  6. Let cake cool completely in the Pan then use a table knife to scrape pan's sides to loosen cake then transfer to an oven tray. ⭐ Cupcakes for this recipe bakes for 18-20minutes.
