Red Velvet Cake

Not your everyday red velvet cake

  1. Place butter, oil, sugar and strawberry flavour in a bowl of an electric mixer and beat at medium speed until well blended
  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt into a bowl and set aside
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time with machine on low, add red colouring
  4. Add flour mixture alternatively with buttermilk. Beat along enough to combine
  5. Place baking soda in a small dish, stir in vinegar and add to batter with machine running
  6. Pour your batter into a prepared pan, place oven and bake until skewer inserted is clean.
