Red-velvet cake is a foreign type of cake with very soft and smooth texture with moist consistency. It is very rich and sweet cake. It is also known as a dessert cake and can be served alongside with tea or coffee as breakfast or dessert.
- Mix your dry ingredients together which includes flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt together in a bowl
- In another bowl mix your egg with sugar until smooth and creamy
- Add oil into the egg and sugar mixture little by little to be well incorporated
- Add the flour mixture in the wet mixture and mix together
- Finally add your butter milk in which your red colour has been mixed with. Add a teaspoon of vinegar and mix. Add any flavour of choice too
- Grease your pan with flour and butter to avoid the cake sticking to the pan
- Bake in a moderate heat oven for 15-20mins
