Powder yeast

Puff Puff

Puff Puff is a deep fried sweet dough, and a popular Nigerian snack that can be eaten anytime of the day.

  1. In a clean bowl, pour flour, sugar, salt, yeast and chili flakes and mix together
  2. Add water bit by bit and continue to mix till you get a soft batter.
  3. Cover the bowl with a cling film or an airtight cloth for 1 hour. This is to let the batter rise.
  4. On medium heat, pour some vegetable oil in a deep pot and heat till it's hot
  5. Scoop the batter with your hand into the hot oil and fry puff on both sides till it's golden brown.
  6. Repeat the method for the remaining batters
