Nigeria chicken stew on a budget

Are you a lover of good food but you are on a budget, then this recipe is for you. With less than #2000 you’ll be able to make this yummylicious stew.

 

  1. Put a pan on fire on low heat. Make sure the pan is dry

  2. Then add your palm oil and allow it to heat up for 30 seconds
  3. Afterwards, add your sliced onions and saute for a minute
  4. Then add your Curry and thyme to the onions. Doing this , enhances the flavor of the stew. Stir everything together and allow to fry for a minute
  5. It is now time to add your pepper blend (tomatoes, pepper, onions). Note, the pepper blend has been boiled earlier to reduce the cooking time. To the pepper blend, add seasoning cubes, salt and your chicken (fried/roasted/boiled) and stir everything together. Allow this to fry for 5 minutes
  6. Now, add your chicken stock/water and allow this to cook till you can see the oil floating on top
  7. It's now time to add our fresh vegetable. Stir! Off the heat!! Enjoy!!!
  8. This can be eaten with rice, yam porridge, yam, spaghetti etc
