- 1 Teaspoon
- Baking powder
- 200 Gram
- Sugar
- 250 Gram
- Butter
- 1 Cup
- Evaporated milk (optional)
Soft, milk and mouthful chin chin, baked with love and excitement
That is to be enjoyed as either a snack or with a cup of tea or coffee as breakfast
- Prepare your ingredients all together and set aside. Start by mixing together the dry ingredients and set aside.....Then Add butter and mix in till it forms crumbs
- Mix the wet ingredients too and set aside
- Make a well in the middle of your dry ingredients and Pour your wet ingredients in and incorporate into each other to form a dough
- When you dough is formed, set aside and cover with either a plastic wrap or wet towel to allow the gluten loosen up...then you can prep your work surface and prep your oven or your oil if you will be frying
- Sprinkle flour on your work surface to avoid sticking, cut your dough into small bits and start rolling out one after the other and you can start cutting into desired shapes
- Cut into desired shapes and park in a tray and make sure you are sprinkling flour to avoid sticking. Repeat this process till you exhaust the dough
- As you are done with that you chin chin is ready to go in the oven......you can proceed to fill your oven tray that is lined with parchment paper or brown paper....and send your chin chin in the oven
- And if you will be frying, just throw your chin chin dough in the oil bit by bit don't overcrowd the oil so they do not soak and fry on medium heat till golden brown
- Then your chin chin is ready to eat
