Green sauce is a combination of fresh herbs and vegetables. This is another way to incorporate herbs into your daily meal. This sauce can be used as a dip and also a marinade for your proteins.
- Wash your fresh parsley, cilantro, mint leaf , spring onions, ginger ,garlic ,green peppers under running water till it's clean and sand free. Add the washed herbs and peppers into the blender, add your onions ,ginger and garlic cloves.
- Add some olive oil and water into the blender and blend away into a smooth paste.
- In a pan add some vegetable oil, go in with some chopped onions and minced garlic ,allow to fry till it becomes fragrant . Transfer the herb mix into the pan .
- Cook the sauce till all the water residue evaporates and the oil starts floating over the vegetables, then you know that your sauce is ready.
- Allow the sauce to cool down then store it in a jar that has a lid. You can pair this with French fries, as a side for rice and stew and it is also a very rich sauce for marinades.
