- 1 Cup
- 1.all purpose flour.
- 1 Tablespoon
- 1 table spoon of seasoning, 1 tbsp of salt
- 1 Tablespoon
- Black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon
- Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon
- Garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon
- Onion powder
- 1 Tablespoon
- cayenne pepper
- 1 Cup
- Buttermilk
Note: For extra crispy fried chicken, you can double-dredge the chicken by dipping it in the buttermilk and flour mixture twice.
- in a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper
- in a separate bowl pour the butter milk
- Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour
- Dip the chicken pieces into the butter milk, making sure they are fully coated
- Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture again, making sure the are evenly coated
- Heat the vegetable oil in a nice skillet over medium-high heat
- Once the oil is hot carefully place the chicken pieces in the skillet making sure not to over crowed the pan
- Fry the chicken on each side for about 8-10 mins until the outside is golden brown and the inner temperature is 165•f (74•C)
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil
- Serve the fried chicken hot with your favorite side dish
