French toast is known as pain perdu(“lost bread”) in France is a breakfast and brunch dish made with old bread slices that are soaked in a milk and egg mixture and fried until golden brown and crispy.
Often served with hot chocolate tea or orange juice.
- Step 1: Get the bread with a knifeI, cut out the center of the bread, separate the bread crumb (soft center) from the crust (outer part). Step 2: Get a bowl: Pour the egg, add the milk, chopped onions, green pepper, red pepper, vanilla extract and ground cinnamon, salt. Whisk together thoroughly. Step 3: Place a pan on medium heat. Add some butter, leave to melt lay the bread crust flat in the pan, carefully pour the egg mix in the middle of the bread. Step 4: Fill the bread with the mix. Now, cover the bread crust with the inner crumb, toast on the sides for few minutes. Flip and toast the other side,when both sides are golden brown remove from the pan. Serve with hot chocolate tea
