Fluffy Akara (Bean Cake)

Bean Cake

  1. Blend the Atarodo and onions into a smooth paste
  2. Mix the bean flour and water together and allow to soak for 15 minutes
  3. Then add the pepper paste to the bean flour mixture and mix with a hand mixer or whisk till it's fluffy
  4. Put a pan on fire and add in your oil of choice ( Vegetable oil, palm oil, canoli oil etc) and allow to heat up. Note, the oil shouldn't be too hot and it's a deep frying
  5. Scoop in your paste with a spoon and allow to fry on each side till a light brown color is form
  6. Serve with pap, oat or bread
