Biryani is a common cuisine in india. Street food like no other. Options of using lamb, beef or chicken to prepare the meal.
- Wash and soak the rice.
- Boil water in a pot, add salt and cook the rice untill it is 3/4th cooked. Remove and drain thoroughly.
- In a pot, heat the oil and fry the onions until golden brown.
- Add the diced tomatoes and fry untill oil seperates.
- Add the chicken cuts with bones, ginger and garlic paste, youghurt, potatoes, and the biryani mix. Stir fry for 10mins
- Add water and cook on low heat untill tender.
- Now increase the heat and stir fry untill the oil separates from the gravy.
- In a separate large pot, layer the white cooked rice and biryani chicken curry sauce.
- Spread half the rice in the pot and pour the biryani sauce over it.
- Top with the remaining rice. Cover and cook on low heat untill rice is fully done.
- Mix before serving. Garnish with lemon slices, chilli peppers and sliced onions.
