Zobo Drink

Zobo Drink is made from the wine coloured sorrel leaf, it is rich in vitamin c and antioxidant.

It can be enjoyed cold or at room temperature but it is best preserved in the fridge to avoid fermentation.

  1. 1.5 cups of zobo leaf

  2. Slightly pound 2-3 fingers of ginger and 1 tablespoon of cloves together in a mortal and set aside

  3. Wash a medium size pineapple and set aside

  4. Cut the pine apple and set aside the peel and blent the flesh into a smooth puree

  5. Add the zobo leaf, pineapple peel and the ginger mix into a pot

  6. Add water into it to completely cover it and cook on high flame

  7. Pour into a large hole sieve

  8. Add the pineapple puree into it and mix to combine

  9. Finely sieve with a cheese cloth

  10. Allow it to cool down to room temperature and chill
