- 1 Gallon
- Vegetable oil
- 1 Teaspoon
- Salt
- Peel the yam, and cut into a rectangular shape
- Wash the cut yam thoroughly with salt and water
- Put in the freezer for at least 30 minutes
- Remove the yam after it most been frozen
- Put your vegetable oil in deep pot. Make sure the oil is enough for the frying
- Pre-heat the oil to 180°c
- Add in your frozen yam and fry till it it's well fried on both sides
- Your yam fries most be crispy on the he outside and soft on the he inside
