Nigerian puff puff is a regular and popular Nigerian snack used in parties for refreshing entertainments . Tumeric puff puff involves the use of tumeric powder as one of the ingredients increase the savoriness and spiceness of the snack.
- In a large enamel pour in dry ingredients , flour, sugar, powdered milk, tumeric powder , cinnamon powder, nutmeg (optional)
- Mix the dry ingredients make a well in the enamel containing the dry ingredients
- Get a cup of warm water pour in one tablespoon instant yeast powder stir to dissolve then pour into the well pour in yeast and warm water mix ( wet ingredient)
- Mix, thoroughly to avoid a lumpy mixture , cover using a cling film
- Allow to sit for 60mins in a warm place
- After 60 mins , remove from warm
- Set cooking or frying pan on medium heat
- Open the enamel containing the mixture , stir and begin scooping batter to fry
- Fry gently using deep frying method until golden brown
- Fry until a golden brown bun is gotten
- Inner part of the buns had a tinge of light green colour due to tumeric .
