Sorrel drink (Zobo) without sugar

Zobo is a popular drink in Nigeria. It also known as sorrel drink, hibiscus drink and sobolo (Ghana). This drink is refreshing and easy to make

  1. Wash the zobo leaves thoroughly until there's no dirt in it
  2. Roughly Grate the ginger and cloves together
  3. Put the washed zobo leaves in a pot, along with the grated ginger and cloves
  4. Add in the water and allow to simmer for 30 minutes
  5. Afterwards, allow it to chill a little. Then drain with a sieve
  6. Add in the date powder or any sweetener of choice and stir everything together
  7. Pour it an air tight container and chill
  8. Zobo drink is best served cold!!
