Wash your tatashe, shombo, atarodo, tomatoes & cut and roast them
Blend the roasted vegetables with garlic.
Put a pot on fire and add vegetable oil
To the oil, add in your sliced onions and fry till translucent
Add in the tomato paste and fry for 5 minutes on medium heat
Add in your blended onions, tatashe, shombo, atarodo tomatoes then add salt, seasoning cubes, Curry, thyme and fry
After the stew is fried enough, add in your washed rice and mixed everything together very well
Add in your meat stock and cover the pot and allow it boil for 25 minutes
After 25 minutes cover with foil paper and allow it to steam on low heat for 15 minutes
After 15 minutes, your smoky jollof rice should be ready.
Serve with fish, chicken, meat or any protein of your choice.
