Simple pound cake

Ever tasty and fluffy pound cake recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree. Line the bottom of the cake pan with parchment paper
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt into a medium bowl and whisk together. Set aside
  3. In a bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment beat the butter and sugar and vanilla extract of medium speed until light and fluffy, about 8 minutes
  4. Add the eggs, two at a time, beating until each addition is incorporated before adding the next. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula when necessary
  5. Add the flour mixture into four part alternating with the buttermilk in three parts. Beating just until each addition is incorporated before adding next. Do not overmix
  6. Bake for 45min in a preheated oven.
