- Ripe/unripe plantain

- Palm oil
- 1 Teaspoon

- 1 Tablespoon

- Smoked fish (optional)

- Grounded crayfish
Plantain portage is a nutrient rich delicious meal which is prepared from either ripe, semi-ripe or unripe plantain. It is healthy and mostly recommended for the aged and diabetic patients most especially the unriped. It can be served as a main dish.
- Get your ingredients ready including the plantain, vegetable, etc.
- Wash the plantain and cut into small cubes
- In an empty pot, pour the plantain, add water same level with the plantain and bring to boil
- Add your grounded crayfish and pepper, seasoning cube, salt, palm oil, onion, oil bean(ukpaka) and stir together. Cover and allow to boil.
- Taste and correct your seasonings. Boil until the water is a little bit tick
- Add your ukpaka and any vegetable of choice
- Stir in together and allow to simmer for 1 minute
- Remove from heat, dish out and serve as a main dish.
