RED VELVET CAKE

Red velvet cake is much more than vanilla cake tinted red. This recipe produces the best red velvet cake with superior buttery, vanilla, and cocoa flavors as well as a delicious tang from buttermilk.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease two 9-inch cake pans, line with parchment paper rounds, then grease the parchment paper. Parchment paper helps the cakes seamlessly release from the pans.
  2. Combine the flour, salt ,baking soda and cocoa powder into a large bowl and mix together.
  3. In a separate bowl ,add the eggs and beat them thoroughly.
  4. Pour the sugar ,butter milk ,oil and vanilla extract into the bowl with the eggs and mix unit everything is nice and creamy.
  5. Slowly combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients

  6. Fold in the vinegar and red food colouring untill all of the batter is red.
  7. In your greased cake pan, pour in the barter and then bake for 45 min.
