Beans is an inexpensive, healthy source of protein, potassium, and complex carbohydrates.
This particular meal is prepared with using palm oil,pepper and lots of onions. It can be eaten anytime of the day.
- 2cups of well picked beans
- Thoroughly rinse the beans and add into a pot of boiling water to perboil for 5min
- Drain the water and rinse with fresh water
- Place pot back on fire, add water, salt and maggi( maggi is optional) cover and cook for 45min
- Once it is soft and tender, add palm oil, blended pepper and onions into it (note: plenty onions makes porridge Beans sweeter)
- Cover and let it cook for 10 min. Mix together and it is done
