This moi moi recipe is obviously not your regular, it is sweet delicious and the taste is so unique. You should try this out! Let’s get cooking.
- Select fresh ripe plantains, not too ripe but ripe enough . wash very well under running water.
- Cut them into chunks into your high quality blender
- Go in with your onions, tatashe, onions , crayfish, seasoning
- Add some water I to the blender.
- Blend till it is is perfectly smooth
- Turn that into a bowl and add your mackerel fish either roasted or boiled
- Then go in with some vegetable oil
- Season very well with some cray fish bullion cubes or any seasoning of choice.
- Mix properly till everything is well combined
- Scoop the batter into your moi moi bowl or moi moi leaf, place your boiled eggs
- And also place one mackerel fish into the batter
- Place your moi moi, into a pot add some water, cover and cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes
- Be careful not to add so much water when blending your plantain so the moi moi doesn't become too soft. By this time your plantain is ready check to see if it is well cooked.
- serve and enjoy! You can pair with custard, jollof rice , or any kind of cooked rice and sauce.
