Nigerian Fish Sauce is an easy dish which is made with shredded fresh fish in a tomato sauce.
This sauce is very versatile, thus can be paired with lots of sides.
Let me show you how to make it in a very easy way.
- Add cleaned Mackerel Fish to a pot
- Add some seasoning cubes
- Add some curry powder
- Add dried Thyme
- Add some onions
- Add some salt
- Add in some water to cook
- Cover to cook well. Bring it to a boil
- When cooked, proceed to shred and debone it
- For the sauce proper, add in some oil into a pan or a wok
- Add in some chopped onions
- Ginger and Garlic
- Stir and fry till flavorful
- Add in some blended peppers/tomato mix
- Cover to fry
- Add in the stock from your boiled fish
- Adjust seasoning with some seasoning cubes
- Stir and combine while tasting in between
- Add in shredded fish
- Mix well to combine with the sauce
- It is ready to serve with any side of choice
