Nigerian donuts are examples of yeast proof bun that can be eaten anytime of the day useful for several parties and above all a regular backpack lunch snack for kids
- Add flour, sugar, magarine , vanilla powder, egg, milk powder, nutmeg powder in a bowl
- Mix using rub in method unlike fine crumbs at gotten
- Mean while set up yeast and some cup of sugar in warm water allow to sit and make a froth
- Make a well in the flour crumbs
- Pour in warm sugar yeast mixture
- Mix until a soft dough is formed
- Cover and set in a warm place for 60mins
- After 60mins open and knead ensure there's increase in volume and size
- Using a pastry board or clean surface , knead dough cut in small sizes
- Flatten using a rolling pin , flatten small dough
- Cut out heart shape using heart shaped cup cake pan
- Remover heart shaped cutter
- Using a smaller circular shaped cutter creat a whole in the middle of the donuts
- Allow donuts to proof for 20minutes in an oven or warm place
- Set cooking oil in a pan or pot on medium heat
- Place donuts one by one when oil is hot
- Allow to deep fry on both sides , giving a golden brown color when set
- Serve and enjoy
