Gizzdodo

Gizzdodo is a simple side dish that is often served with jollof rice , fired rice , coconut rice etc.it is easy to deduce from the name that it’s basically made from the combination of ripe plantain and gizzard the ingredients below will serve about 6 people if paired with jollof rice and 3 persons if served alone.

  1. Start by peeling 3 ripe plantains into cube , prepare your chicken gizzards and cut into small pieces, then spice up and steamer for 10 min.
  2. Cut your veggies in cubes and keep aside, bring out your sauce pan and fry your dodo to golden brown (plantain) , keep aside , then fry your steamed gizzards and keep aside
  3. With the same veggie oil, add your onions,ginger and garlic , fresh tomatoes, seasoning cubes and fry for 5min . Add salt to taste and fry pepper if desire.
  4. Then add your gizzard, dodo and veggies and stir for 5mins before bringing off the fire . And your Gizzdodo is ready.
