Gbegiri is a soup eaten by the Yorubas. It is made with peeled beans. It can be accompanied with swallow of choice paired with Ewedu I.e Amala, Semo, Tuwo
- Measure beans and soak it in water for 2minutes
- Peel the beans
- Place a clean pot on fire and put water then add potash
- Add the peeled beans and allow it to boil until it is soft. Continue stirring to avoid spilling
- When the beans is soft, use hand broom (Ijabe) to blend it to get a smooth purée. Blend the pepper and onions smoothly then add it to the smooth purée beans.
- Add palm oil, locust beans, seasoning cubes and salt to taste then stir together and allow to cook for 10minutes
- Serve Gbegiri with choice of swallow
