Ewedu soup

This is a popular soup in the western part of Nigeria. It’s made from jute leaves and it isĀ  commonly enjoy with amala.

  1. Pluck the ewedu leaves

  2. Then wash the leaves very well with water

  3. Put in a pot and add in some boiling water
  4. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes
  5. Now, add in the crayfish, locust beans, salt and seasoning cubes and mix

  6. Mix and Allow to cook for another 5 minutes
  7. Then use a cooking broom to smoothen or mash the soup
  8. Your delicious, silky ewedu soup is ready
