Egusi

Egusi is a common soup in Nigeria. This soup has varieties of recipe from different parts of country. This recipe is easy and delicious.

  1. Roughly blend the tomatoes, scotch bonnet, and onions
  2. Wash and your chop your ugu
  3. Wash the locust beans
  4. Put a pot on fire and add In palm oil and allow it to bleach Alittle
  5. Then youll add in your roughly blended scotch bonnet, tomatoes and onions and mix together and stir
  6. After 10 minutes, add in the locust beans, salt and seasoning cubes
  7. Allow this to fry for 5 minutes
  8. Add in water, and cover till it boils
  9. Add in the Egusi and stir together
  10. After 5 minutes, add in your ugu (spinach) leaves and cover for 3 minutes
  11. After 3 minutes, you should put off the gas flame ...your Egusi is ready.
