Bole and fish is one of the popular traditional foods in Nigeria. A classic Nigerian street food debatably originating from Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State, Nigeria. This city is known for a lot of great things but the most outstanding feature of this great oil city is its local dishes, more especially its popular street food called Bole (roasted plantain and fish).
- To be prepare the sauce for the grill, blend your atarodo, onions, garlic and ginger. Add some vegetable oil and blend smoothly.
- Pour the sauce into. bowl and season with some seasoning cubes, curry powder, mixed spices , pepper soup spice . You will want to season this very well so your grill is tasty.
- Peel your ripe plantain, drizzle some vegetable oil on the plantain now season with the grill sauce . You can skip this part but I promise you if you try this you won't eat bole another way .
- Prepare your Titus fish and season with the same sauce generously.
- Now in an oven grill or air fryer or outdoor grill, grill your bole for 20 minutes , pay attention to it so you flip at intervals so the plantain is properly cooked. Your fish should be ready at about the same time.
- Serve your plantain with some pepper sauce and enjoy!
