- Fresh tomatoes blended

- 2 Teaspoon
- Salt
- 4 Gram
- Stock cube
- 4 Gram
- Bay leaves
- 2 Teaspoon
- Curry and thyme
- 2 Teaspoon
- Dried basil leaves
Boiled yam and stew is a regular dish in a Nigerian household but for this stew ,I will be using palm oil instead of the regular vegetable oil…Palm oil stew gives the whole meal a different taste.
- Peel and cut your yam
- Put the yam in a pot,add water and boil untill soft
- Blend onions
- Blend pepper, ginger and garlic together
- Blend fresh tomatoes
- Make sure you have your already cooked protein of your choice
- Heat the palm oil,stir in blended onions
- Add pepper mix,and let it simmer for 3 minutes
- Stir in tomato paste(optional)and let it fry for 2 minutes
- Add your blended fresh tomatoes and stir
- Spice the stew with salt,stock cube,thyme, curry, dried basil & bay leaves, immediately add your protein and let your stew cook for 6 minutes
- Yam is ready!
- Stew is ready
- Serve and enjoy
