It’s not always all the time we fry our ripe plantain,it can be boiled as well and be enjoyed with any sauce of choice.
Join me as I prepare this mouthwatering meal
- Start by cutting and washing your ripe plantain, put into a pot and bring to boil, don't forget to add salt. Cook for 15 minutes till soft.
- While you're cooking your plantain,start preparing your pepper sauce ingredients. First slice your onions and set aside.
- Use grater to crush your scotch bonnet pepper, don't blend the pepper because we don't want the texture to be smooth.
- By this time, your plantain would have cooked well, check the plantain and set aside. Then heat up red oil in a small pot,add the onions and peppers and fry for 5 minutes
- Add salt and any other seasoning of your choice. Serve alongside your boiled ripe plantain and enjoy.
