Amala

Amala is one of the most popular meal in Western Nigeria

  1. Put water on fire and allow it to boil
  2. While the water is boiling, sieve your elubo (yam flour)
  3. Take a cup of water out of the boiling water then add in the sieved elubo bit by bit
  4. Continue to stirring while adding the elubo to prevent lumps
  5. After the elubo has come together, add part of the warm water set aside to the elubo
  6. Cover the pot and allow to cook for 4 minutes
  7. Remove the cover, turn the Amala very well and off the flame
  8. Your Amala is ready
