- Soak the beans for 30 mins
- Pound it with a mortar till the beans are separated from the chaff
- Pour in some water and rinse the beans till all the chaff are gone
- Rinse the pepper and onion and add to the washed beans
- Blend with more water than the one used for typical Akara. We want the paste watery
- Add in the salt to taste and mix
- Put the vegetable oil on fire and allow it to heat up
- Add in your paste with a spoon and allow it to get brown on both sides
- Your delicious Akara chips is ready. Enjoy!!!
